Teejay Lowe’s background in the wine industry has been through and diverse in scope. As a developer, grower, retailer and consultant in the industry, these roles have given him a multi-faceted perspective that serves the ultimate critics of our industry, the consumer.
As a Russian River Winegrowers Association member and grower of premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel in the renowned Russian River Valley, his experience with terroir and the wines resulting from unique terroir have inspired his journey to seek out wines true to the nature of the fruit and land from which they are created.
His travels through international wine regions include, but are not limited to, renowned regions like Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Rhone, Loire, Armagnac, Cognac, Rheinhessen, Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo, Lazio, and Piedmont. Travels throughout Europe, Australia, Asia, New Zealand and North America have been the foundation for an appreciation of diverse cultures and their respective artisan representation of wine.
As Chairman of the Board for Shone Farm, the new Premium Russian River Winery operated by the Santa Rosa Junior College, Teejay is honored to be a part of the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition that has be an integral benefactor of the Wine Studies Program at the Santa Rosa Junior College.
