After a successful first day of judging, the SFCWC judges started off Tuesday evening by gathering at Savvy in Cloverdale to enjoy a welcome reception and social hosted by the Pine-Mountain Cloverdale Peak (PMCP) AVA. This is the second year that PMCP have hosted the welcome social, and everyone enjoyed great conversation with the AVA leaders while catching up with old judging friends from previous years.
After the social, the group headed across the street to The Trading Post for the Tuesday Welcome Dinner. An authentic farm-to-table dining experience with an in-house artisan bakery, the Trading Post is a celebration of regional ingredients and flavors presented in a modern, warm convivial environment. The dinner featured locally sourced produce, meats and fish by Chef/Owner Erik Johnson. After a delicious meal and spending the evening in great company, the judges returned to their hotels to get a good night’s sleep before beginning another full day of judging wines!
