Sequoia Grove Winery, Rutherford, CA

I was born and raised in Kelseyville, California. After high school, I flew south to Southern California for college where I received a master’s degree in political science. My college days were filled with excitement as I worked for Governor Schwarzenegger, FOX, and NBC! While at FOX, I had the awesome experience of working on American Idol and the OSCARS! Later on, in graduate school I would go on to work in the George W. Bush White House, a unique and unforgettable experience in the halls of power!

After college, I returned to Lake County and immediately jumped into the wine industry because wine is more fun than politics! I started my wine career at Wildhurst Vineyards in Kelseyville and then went on to work in Mendocino County at Milano Winery in Hopland. Then I took a hop skip and a jump and moved my career onto Calistoga and Brian Arden Winery. My latest career move is working at Sequoia Grove winery in Rutherford. Here, I am very excited to deliver a more elevated wine experience with our Taste for Cabernet which is paired with amazing dishes from our executive Chef Spencer Conaty!

By working in Lake County, Mendocino County, and now Napa County it has given me a deep and diverse appreciation for wine. In my spare time, I am a professor at Woodland Community College, teaching history and political science. In addition, I am the Co-Chairman of the Kelseyville Pear Festival and volunteer for Cal Fire in the lookout tower on top of Mt. Konocti. It is an honor to serve as a judge for a seventh year at the San Francisco Wine Competition!
