Laura Ness, aka “HerVineNess,” is an avid wine journalist, storyteller and wine columnist who calls the Santa Cruz Mountains home. She loves nothing more than tasting wines in the vineyards where they were born, with the winegrowers who made them. She writes extensively about the wine industry in the San Jose Mercury News, Wine Industry Advisor, Edible:Monterey, The Tasting Panel and Somm Journal, and tastes thousands of wines yearly at wine competitions and events. Although she has a corkscrew in every purse, she wishes that more wineries would adopt screwcaps!!
