 On January 8th, 2010, the San Francisco Chronicle
Wine Competition concluded the annual week of judging at the
Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds in Sonoma County, California. Over
five days, 63 professional wine experts
tasted and evaluated a world-record breaking 4,913 entries.
Wines were awarded as Bronze, Silver, Gold, and
Double Gold (unanimous gold by the judges). In addition, there were
Best of Class &
Judges' Choice Awards given for each of the wine judging
categories, and the prestigious Sweepstake Awards for the top
Sparkling, White, Pink, Red, & Dessert/Specialty
wines.
