Tasting Room Manager, Milano Family Winery, Hopland, CA
Born and raised in Lake County! Went away to school in Southern California where I received a master’s degree in Political Science. It was during my college days that I worked for Governor Schwarzenegger in his Los Angeles office assisting field deputies with community outreach. Later, I worked for the Bush Administration in the Vice President’s scheduling office. After college, I returned to Lake County immediately jumping into the wine industry. Taking a job as a tasting room associate and quickly advancing to the tasting room manager. Working in the winery I learned to appreciate the many aspects of wine. I would be at Wildhurst for five years before I found my new home at Milano Family Winery in Hopland as their new tasting room manager. Today, I really enjoy traveling through Lake, Mendocino, Sonoma and Napa Counties exploring the different wine varietals! In my spare time I am the Co-Chair for the Kelseyville Pear Festival and work in the Cal Fire lookout tower on top of Mount Konocti. I am really excited for this unique opportunity to work with the San Francisco Chronicle wine competition.
