Michele Anna Jordan has written 13 widely-praised books about food and wine, including San Francisco Seafood, The New Cook’s Tour of Sonoma, Salt & Pepper, and California Home Cooking. Jordan is known for her lyrical narrative, robust recipes, inspired lectures and fearless restaurant reviews, currently in the North Bay edition of The San Francisco Chronicle. Her weekly column, Seasonal Pantry, focuses on the region’s farmers markets and viticultural areas. Jordan hosts two radio shows – Mouthful, about food, wine, and agriculture, and Red Shoes Rodeo, an eclectic music show – on KRCB-FM. She writes for a variety of national publications. Jordan has won numerous awards for both cooking and writing, including a 1997 James Beard Award.
