Mary Evely, During her 18-year tenure at Simi Winery, Mary Evely created and developed their food & wine program and served as Executive Chef from 1990-2001. She did continuing research on the subject of food & wine pairing. She also authored The Vintner’s Table Cookbook, which won the Julia Child Cookbook award in 1999.
She now cooks and teaches on a free-lance basis, and is preparing food & wine pairing classes for Sonoma State University and U.C. Davis for fall 2002.
