Paul Geisz has been involved with wine for over
twenty years. He takes delight in pairing the wine
with food for the monthly winemaker’s dinners at his
restaurant, The Village Tavern, in Hammondsport, New
York. There also you will find a reserve of over 700
wines with over 70 available by the glass. He has
judged the wines at the New York State Fair in
Syracuse and the International Eastern Wine
Competition. Also noteworthy is that his
establishment is featured in Lonely Planet and has
received the Wine Spectator Magazine Award for
Excellence for many years and Restaurant of the Year
from the New York State Wine and Grape Foundation.
Paul is currently developing a new wine dispensing
system. When not involved with the business, he also
finds time to write and is a published poet. His
most recent work may be found in Fine Lines, a
literary magazine.
