Jeffrey
is the Beverage Buyer for Andronico’s Market. A
78-year-old family owned and operated gourmet
grocery store chain with 8 stores throughout the Bay
Area. Jeff is originally from Austin, Texas where he
got bit by the wine bug while in college. While
attending the University of Texas at Austin,
studying Nutritional Biochemistry, Jeff became
interested in wine and got a part-time job at
Central Market in the wine department. After one
year Jeff decided to not go to medical school and
concentrate on wine. After three years with Central
Market Jeff moved to Oakland, CA and worked for the
Henry Wine Group as a sales representative. After
only 6 months with The Henry Wine Group Jeff became
the Beverage Director and Sommelier for Tra Vigne
Restaurant and the Cantineta Wine Bar. After three
years of living in the wine country Jeff decided he
wanted to move to San Francisco and began working
with Andronico’s Market in April of 2005. In
addition to judging for the San Francisco Chronicle
Wine Competition, Jeff is also a judge for the San
Francisco International Wine Competition.
