Bob and Scott Fraser founded winejudging.com in the year 2000 to continue delivering service to the wine industry in California. Winejudging.com is the producer of the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest wine competition in America.
This website not only keeps consumers abreast of the on-going activities of the San Francisco Chronicle Wine competition but in addition keeps archived competition results and information of previous competitions. The website will offer wine consumers a closer look at the operations of a major professional wine competition representing wine entries from throughout America. There will be additional information for consumers to enhance their literacy of wine education knowledge and to become more selective of purchasing fine wines in the marketplace.
Bob Fraser is Coordinator of the Agriculture Business, Agriculture Science, Communication, and Education, and Wine Studies Programs of the Santa Rosa Junior College Agriculture and Natural Resources Department, the largest agriculture community college in California. Bob serves as the Executive Director of The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Bob also serves as Wine Judging Coordinator of the Sonoma County Harvest Fair Wine Competition held every year in the early fall. Fraser has been active in the community and industry serving as past president of the California North Coast Wine & Visitor Center and Past State Chair of the Community College Division of the California Agriculture Teachers Association. Ray Johnson is an Assistant Director who specializes in the operational activities of the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Ray's major responsibilities include the coding, tabulations, and awards for wine entries in the competition and winery participation at Fort Mason Center. Ray works closely with Bob Fraser throughout the year with wine competition strategies and planning.
Anne Vercelli has been assisting Bob Fraser with the wine competition since 1987. Anne is the wine competition backroom coordinator, plans the food menu's for the official judges, and is involved with a myriad of duties year around with the competition.
